Background
Georgia’s most distinguished white wine appellation, rooted in the historic Kakheti region, Tsinandali was born from the vision of 19th-century aristocrat Prince Alexander Chavchavadze, who created Georgia’s first European-style wine precisely at Tsinandali Estate. Today, Tsinandali N1 stands as a timeless fusion of Georgian heritage and European elegance.
Terroir
Rkatsiteli and Mtsvane grapes are cultivated in distinct plots across Tsinandali’s south-east-facing vineyards, nestled 600-700 meters above sea level. Surrounded by oak forest, these slopes feature well-drained clay-limestone soils that perfectly express the character of each variety within the Tsinandali PDO.
Viticulture
Our philosophy begins in the vineyard, where we believe exceptional wine is born in harmony between vine and terroir. Every detail matters - from the earthworms enriching the soil to the thoughtful care behind each vineyard practice. Through cover cropping and sustainable methods such as pest mating disruption, we nurture a balanced ecosystem where nature and the vine thrive together.

2024 Growing Season
The 2024 growing season in Tsinandali was one of contrasts - gentle spring rains, intense summer heat, and sudden autumn showers. The warmth of July and August hastened ripening, prompting an early harvest, while careful vineyard work preserved the fruit’s health and balance. Between bursts of rain, we found the perfect moments to pick, capturing grapes full of richness, vitality, and poise.
Vinification
Juice from carefully selected Rkatsiteli and Mtsvane grapes underwent fermentation in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 13-14 °C, allowing the vibrant aromas of fresh white fruit to unfold fully. Several months of ageing on the lees further refined the wine, adding layers of texture and delicate secondary aromas that enhance its elegance and complexity.

Tasting Note and Pairing
A meeting of Rkatsiteli’s spice and Mtsvane’s bright fruit in a vivid harmony of pear, white stone fruit, and green apple. Refreshing acidity carries the palate toward a harmonious, lingering finish. Pairs beautifully with white meat, fish, seafood, salads, vegetable dishes, etc.
