THE WINEMAKER

Davit Maisuradze, the chief winemaker of Tsinandali Estate and the creator of exclusive, exceptional wines, first led the winemaking efforts at Tsinandali from 1988 to 1991. He returned to the renewed Tsinandali Estate in 2013.

“Now, the situation is completely different technologically at Tsinandali Cellar,” he says.
“Previously, selections were made in another way, and the cellar didn’t even have its own vineyard. Today, Tsinandali Cellar has the best vineyard, with a unique terroir, as well as the highest quality machinery and technological equipment - giving it the opportunity to produce the finest wines.”

In 2013, Maisuradze assumed leadership of Tsinandali Estate’s most critical operation - winemaking - bringing with him a new vision and innovative ideas. His return quickly bore fruit:
the creation of standout wines such as the aromatic, high-alcohol Natella, the deep burgundy Sophia, and the rich, elegant Nino Veuve Griboyedoff, among other masterpieces.

Beyond his work at Tsinandali, Davit Maisuradze actively collaborates with leading European wine companies, providing expert consultation on wine production to Italian, French, and German winemakers.
