FARMING
Our 40-hectare vineyard stretches across the slopes of Tsinandali, facing the morning sun and benefiting from the cooling influence of surrounding oak forests.
Georgian varieties - Rkatsiteli, Kisi, Khikhvi, Mtsvane, Tsolikouri, Rachuli Tetra, Saperavi, Aleksandrouli, and Mujuretuli - form the core plantings. Smaller parcels of Pinot Noir, Malbec, and Chardonnay are also grown. Each variety is matched to its soil, elevation, and exposure, creating a mosaic of parcels that reflects the land’s complexity.
Vineyard care follows seasonal rhythms. We build soil health through cover crops and compost, with grasses and wild herbs promoting biodiversity and structure. Pruning and canopy management are done by hand to maintain close attention to each vine.
Pest management is based on ecological balance. Lobesia botrana and other pests are controlled through mating disruption. Habitats for beneficial insects and birds support natural regulation. Our aim is a stable, self-sustaining ecosystem.
We avoid synthetic herbicides and rely on mechanical and manual methods to protect soil vitality. Disease treatments are minimal and preventive, guided by observation and weather rather than routine schedules. Every action is measured and applied only when necessary.
We see the vineyard as an interconnected environment of vines, grasses, soil life, insects, and people. Healthy land yields wines with clarity and precision. Their purity and balance stem from a long-term commitment to working with the natural system. This relationship is built on attentive farming and respect for the land.
